The New Bolton Center, part of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, has announced several equine short courses to be offered in the fall of 2011. Each two day course consists of a combination of seminars and demonstrations.
The first course, offered October 20 and 21, focuses on stallion handling and management. The second course, offered October 28 and 31, concentrates on mare and foal care and behavior. The third course, offered November 3 and 4, focuses on horse behavior (including time observing New Bolton's semi-feral herd).
Courses are $500 for day 1 only or $900 for both days. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion plus 16 hours of continuing education credit. For details about this offering click here.
