National Cat Day

October 29th is National Cat Day, an event established in 2005 by animal welfare advocate Colleen Paige. National Cat Day is designed to bring attention to cats that are currently in shelters or with animal rescue groups, with a goal of finding adoptive homes for as many as possible. Television personality Anderson Cooper will feature a National Cat Day report on his CNN show.
